"Bachman-Turner Overdrive," reads a tweet posted at 6am by Eric Alper. Sure enough, below the fold is a black and white photo of Robbie Bachman, Randy Bachman, and Fred Turner. This was his 11th tweet of the day, and just like all the others, there does not appear to be any propulsive spark for its germination. It relates to no news stories, or blog-friendly album anniversaries, or even a contrarian intellectual deep-read of the blue-collar sorrow hidden within "Takin' Care of Business." No, it is just a picture of Bachman-Turner Overdrive.
Alper is a shameless, self-serving promoter who goes out of his way to undercut and sabotage other publicists. He does these things because he wants to be known as "the" expert on everything although he is less than qualified to do so. Less innocent and more ruthless than he projects himself to be.
I’ve met Eric. He’s a music publicist and, like Earth, mostly harmless. Who cares if he posts irrelevancies? If they upset you this much, just stop following him. Nobody’s writing a sequel to Proust on Twitter. It’s all pretty trivial. If it vanished tomorrow, life would go on.
I always wonder if the people who follow 300K accounts or no people are more disturbing since neither has a feed that's meaningful (if anyone even does on Twitter).
This is a great piece of writing.

You could certainly afford to get several degrees happier. What a piece of shit article. Did he harm you in some way?
